I suggest you to go with CS if You have interest in it. Mechanical engineering have less opportunities. As far as Cs is concerned it's placement percentage is high as well as salary package is also very high.

Based on previous year trends,you might be able to get CSE in Coimbatore if you are an outside TN quota student.
However,if you are from TN,you would definitely get CSE in the above mentioned campus.

So, you got a rank of 11524 in AEEE. If you had no Home state quota, then you would not be able to get any branch in Amrita School of Engineering Coimbatore as the maximum closing range for any branch in open quota

They would take the average of both papers to check your eligiblity.
Since your average is higher in than the minimum required ,you would be able to attend counselling and also procure a seat.
Both your papers constitute Maths,therefore the average of them is your aggregate Maths total.
