The GATE 2026 Syllabus for Civil Engineering includes, General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geo-technical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Geomatics Engineering.
There will be 65 questions of one marks and 2 marks. There will be negative markings for MCQ questions. For each wrong 1-mark question, 1/3 mark will be deducted and for each wrong 2-mark question, 2/3 mark will be deducted.
The GATE CE 2026 paper consists of two sections, General Aptitude and Subject oriented.
A total of 65 questions divided into, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) will be asked in the GATE Civil Engineerign 2026 exam.
