Candidates can check the exam pattern of GATE 2019 from below to know how the examination will be conducted. By referring to the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to know how GATE 2019 is conducted and what are the main characteristics.
GATE 2019 is being conducted as a computer based test.
The examination will consist of three sections - general aptitude, engineering mathematics and subject-specific questions.
The candidates will have to answer Numerical Answer Type (NAT) and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
Total 65 questions will be asked which has to be answered in 3 hours.
The total marks of GATE 2019 CS paper is 100.
There will be 1 mark or 2 marks questions. For incorrect answers in 1 mark questions, 1/3rd marks will be deducted, while in 2 mark questions, 2/3rd marks will be deducted for incorrect answers. No marks will be given to unattempted questions.
In Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, there will be no negative marking.

Yes you can give GATE. There is not attempt barrier or age barrier in GATE. The only criteria is candidate should be in the final year or graduated from a recognized college.
