For your VITEEE Rank it is different to get B.Tech Computer Science Engineering and B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering in Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai in Category 1 or 2 based on previous year's cut-offs. Your Rank does not fall under cut-off range of B.Tech Computer Science Engineering and B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering in Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai. But Cut-offs varies from year to year and depends on many factors like number of students appeared in the exam, number of seats available, category, difficult level of exam, etc.

You can try for B.Tech Computer Science Engineering branch and B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering Category 3 or 4 or 5 but you need to pay extra amount apart from regular Tution Fees as per College instructions.

The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With a rank near to 38,000, you can easily secure a BioMedical seat in Vellore campus in 1st or 2nd fee categories itself as the cut-off for the same was 45,000 in the year 2016. But, the cut-off for the same was 13,000 in the year 2015. So, just participate in their counselling process to know the exact cut-off of this year.

These are the following courses and the expected admission according to rank ;

•Candidates will get B.Tech CSE  upto 20,000 rank.

•Candidates upto 30,000 rank will get B.Tech CSE with Different spezcialization (Data Science,Analytics,AI etc) .

•Candidates who come under 45,000 rank can get seat under B.Tech ECE

•Candidates who fall under 50,000 rank are eligible to get seat in B.Tech Mechanical.

•Candidates who have got rank upto 45000 are eligible to get seat in B.Tech IT and B.Tech EEE .

•Candidate who have got rank upto 1,00,000 are eligible to get seat in B.Tech civil engineering and also other branches like ( Aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, mechatronics )

There is a good chance that you will get biotechnology at either of the campuses of Vellore Institute of technology as the cutoffs for this branch are comparatively lower than others. Your priority order during choice filling should be as follows:

1. Biotechnology at Vellore campus under category 1
2. Biotechnology at Vellore campus under category 2
3. Biotechnology at Chennai campus under category 1
4. Biotechnology at Chennai campus under category 2
5. You can choose either of the the Bhopal or AP campus under category 1 followed by category 2.

You should be allotted one of these options when the results of phase 2 counselling are announced.
