the 10 step admission procedure  for B.Tech Programmes through VITEEE 2018,

• Advertisement regarding issue of Application forms on VIT website (www.vit.ac.in) and all leading news papers
• Online mode applications available on VIT website from 09-11-2017 , 
• Offline mode applications available in selected post offiices from 09-11-2017
• Read the Eligibility criteria before flling the application form (60% in PCM/PCB put together in +2) , Fill the application form on or before     28-02-2018 , Check status of application on the VIT website
• Attend the mock test for VITEEE 2018 to get an orientation about the Computer Based Test (www.vit.ac.in)
• Slot booking in 3rd week of March 2018, Select convenient date and time to attend VITEEE 2018 (4th April to 15th April) and download your  e-Admit Card 
• Attend VITEEE 2018 on the selected date in the respective test center
• Declaration of results on or before 27-04-2018(tentative)
• Counselling intimation will be sent to eligible candidates through email and SMS ,Tentative counselling dates - 2nd week of May 2018 , Select desired campus and branch of study during the counselling
• Pay Tuition fee and Hostel fee before the deadline through Online payment/DD
• Commencement of First year B.Tech programmes during 1st week of July 2018 (tentative)

Categories means 2 things:

1st, category is selected according to your VITEEE rank. They call 20000 students in category 1, once the seats in category 1 is filled up, they proceed to call category 2 students.

2nd, Fees is determined by category. Category 1 has the lowest fees and it keeps on increasing. 

Also,  If category 1 seats are not filled up, category 2 students will be offered those seats.
