There is a mismatch in my dhaar card where vijay medhe is written ( my fathers name) whereas in my 10 th marksheet it is vijay kumar medhe will jee in I will face prjblem

Rahul Mandal 2nd Nov, 2025

Hello,

Don't worry; you will not face any major problem due to this. Because during the JEE document verification or college admission, you may be asked to provide an affidavit or ID proof to confirm that both names refer to the same person. Just carry the supporting document to avoid issues.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Hi,

Yes, you can give JEE Mains exams, Session 1 and Session 2 in two different states. You can update your present address and choose new exam city when the Session 2 registration opens. NTA allows candidates to select for different exam cities according to convenience.

Hope it helps!!!

IF i am aiming for jee mains next year 2026 What all additional exams to consider and worth a try?

Rahul Mandal 2nd Nov, 2025

Hello,

In addition to JEE Main 2026, students should strongly consider sitting for JEE Advanced and key private university exams like BITSAT, VITEEE, and SRMJEEE. State-level entrance exams in various states are also valuable, especially if aiming for colleges within your home state.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Aahana Rawat 1st Nov, 2025

Hello,

If you are a dropper but appearing in class 12th as a regular student, you should select for the code of "appearing in class 12 in 2026" (or whichever year you will be taking the 12th exam) in your JEE Mains form. Make sure you fill in all the necessary information correctly.

I have appeared in nios october exam 2024 so what will be passing year and am I eligible for jee advanced 2026

Prachi Kumari 1st Nov, 2025

Hello,

If you appeared for the NIOS October 2024 exam, your passing year will be 2024 (because NIOS counts the year in which the exam is held).

For JEE Advanced eligibility :
You can appear in JEE Advanced only in the year you pass Class 12 and the following year .

So, since your passing year is 2024 , you are eligible for:

  • JEE Advanced 2024

  • JEE Advanced 2025

You will not be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026 , as it will be your third attempt after passing Class 12.

Hope it helps !

i have board exams in feb and JEE mains in jan i am not prepared for both and also in school i have lot of exam that i cant focus in JEE preparation what shoud i do i have less time and shuld i focus on boards or JEE mains... i have very little time so pls someone help me

Prachi Kumari 1st Nov, 2025

Hello,

Don’t worry, this is a common situation for many students. Here’s what you can do:

  1. First, stay calm. You still have time if you plan smartly.

  2. Right now (till JEE Main):

    • Focus mainly on JEE Main because it’s in January.

    • Revise important chapters and practice previous year papers and mock tests .

    • Give more time to topics that are common in both JEE and boards (like Physics – Laws of Motion, Chemistry – Chemical Bonding, Math – Quadratic Equations, etc.). This way you’ll be preparing for both.

  3. After JEE Main (Jan end onwards):

    • Shift your full focus to board exam preparation .

    • Revise NCERT thoroughly and solve sample papers.

  4. In school exams:

    • Try to use them as revision for boards instead of seeing them as separate exams.

  5. Study plan:

    • 8–10 hours a day (with breaks).

    • Morning: JEE practice (mock tests, problem-solving).

    • Evening: Board syllabus revision (NCERT, theory).

If you feel completely underprepared for JEE, you can focus on scoring well in boards and attempt JEE April attempt after that with proper preparation time.

Hope it helps !

I AM STUDENT OF PCB IN 12 BUT WAS INTERESTED IN ENGINEERING FIELD SO IA CAN DO SINGLE SUBJECT EXAM FROM OPEN BOARD DOES DUAL MARKSHEET IS VALID IN JEE MAINS/JEE ADVANCED/ JOSAA

Aahana Rawat 1st Nov, 2025

Hey,

If you take an additional exam in mathematics from an open board, as you want to pursue engineering, you will have two mark sheets which is not acceptable for JEE Mains or Advanced or JOSSA. NTA and IIT require single 10+2 certificate with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Hello dear candidate,

You can choose your exam city while filling the JEE form. you can select Kota as your first choice and Bihar, your home town as your backup.

You will get to know your exam city before about 1-2 weeks before the exam.
