Hello Gouri,

A Category Certificate is the proof of one's belonging to a particular Caste, especially in case one belongs to any of the 'Scheduled Castes and Tribes', as specified in the Indian Constitution.

An additional category Certificate is required only for SC/ST/OBC/GEN-EWS candidates and it's optional for General category.
