No, there is no defence quota or reservation for candidates from the armed forces background in either of the JEE exams. The focus of the reservation is to help with increased opportunities of the other categories such as ST/SC/OBC/PwD and alike, who need it more.

There is no ex-serviceman quota for admission in jEE advance . only existing reservation quota are st, sc, OBC, pwd.
.
But in some Colleges like DTU,NSIT,IITD,army College Pune,punbaj university having defence quota.

For some exams like AP EAMCET,OJEE etc having defence reservation quota.

You have to qualify in both Jee mains paper 1 and paper 2 in order to qualify for the AAT.

Hey! Hi Hahab.
See, the only criteria to appear for JEE ADVANCED is that you should have qualified JEE MAIN.
Well, the JEE MAIN 2019 JANUARY ATTEMPT RESULTS have been declared but the official cutoff will be declared after the JEE MAIN 2019 APRIL ATTEMPT.

The IIT Madras has the separate eligibility criteria for BTech admission is there is 60 percentage of marks in board exam is it correct..?

Hi Sakthi Grish., 

  • For btech in all IIT'S there is no weightage of board exams. 
  • Only jee advanced score is taken into account.

See this is the result of January Main Exam.The final result that is yet to be announced by NTA will be the best of two percentile,i.e. best of the April and January JEE Mains exam. The April JEE Mains result percentile will vary based on the number of students appearing

Dear aspirant, 

Your rank will be nearly (100-60)*145386/100=58147 based on previous year trends.And chances are less to be qualified to appear for jee advanced exam as experts predicted cutoff to be nearly 85 percentile for general candidate.
