do students get bonus marks in IISER aptitude test

ANKITA SONI 19th Sep, 2021

Hello Buddy! Hope you're doing good.

As the bonus marks is given only when either the question is wrong or all the options are incorrect or two options are correct which is also in the  depends on the exam conducting cell. This considerations are applied to all the candidates, irrespective of the fact that whether they have attempted the question or not. So this happens only when there's some mistake in the question paper otherwise you will not getting any bonus in the IAT. Hope this helps you.

I have not applied for iiser aptitude test but I have board marks 95.50 in maharashtra board . can I apply now through board marks

TECHIO SAYAN 30th Dec, 2021

Hi,

The detailed eligibility criteria for IISER APTITUDE TEST with respect to application by board marks are:

1. The candidate must have marks within the category-wise cut-off above for their respective Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination for being eligible to get admission to IISERs.

2. For candidates who appeared in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination for the first time in 2020 and reappeared in any subject (for whatsoever reason) in 2021, the better of two performances will be considered.

3. If a Board gives aggregate marks considering both Class XI and Class XII examinations (in the 10+2 system), then only Class XII marks will be considered. If a Board gives aggregate marks considering the results of all three years of a 3-year diploma or courses of equivalent duration, then only the marks scored in the final year will be considered. Similarly, for boards which follow a semester system, the marks scored in the final two semesters will be considered.

4. If a Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade -sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the equivalent marks and submit it before the deadline of the mark-sheet submission. In case such a certificate is not provided by the Board, meeting minimum eligibility criteria will be assessed as follows: If CGPA/CPI is reported on any scale other than 10 (for example, 4 points or 8 points scale), an equivalent CGPA/CPI will be calculated as per the following formula: CGPA/CPI in a 10 point scale = (CGPA/CPI Obtained×10)/PS. Finally, the marks will be linearly scaled out of 500.

Hope it helps.

Does IISER aptitude test questions get repeated?

Priya Patel 11th Sep, 2021
Hello
Questions asked in IISER's aptitude test, are mainly based on concepts rather than involving heavy calculations. But please keep in mind, there's no fix rule on the question pattern. The exam is conducted by any of the IISERs by taking turns.
If you are preparing for any examination then it is obvious that some of questions will repeat from previous 30 year papers of same exam.

what scb channel of iiser aptitude test? what is meaning? i have searched about cutoff previous year it shows about board/council cutoff, why? iiser aptitude test has some link or connection with board/council? iwant to know full details of scb channel(why it is board/council,how mark is calculated).

Priya Patel 11th Sep, 2021
SCB channel (state and central board channel) is commonly taking admission through boards who passed 10+2 level with science stream (fresher or 1 year dropper) by checking performance in IAT (IISER aptitude test).
The cut-off given on sites are basically 12th boards cut-off to appear in IAT exams.
After taking IAT they generate a list (round by round) of selected students with the 40% 12th board aggregate and 60% of IAT Score.
Note: IISER never disclose the cut-off of IAT exam. As a result, it only disclose Roll. No. of selected candidates at their official site.
If you have any other doubt please ask.
