I am afraid to say, at this rank, even after using OBC quota, it will not be possible to get any of the PSUs because most of the hiring closes at the rank of 150-200. Not beyond that.

But, this year many PSUs have good number of openings,

Your gate score is 628.if you belong from general category you may apply for IIT Bombay and IIT GUWAHATI.you may go for new iits .You can check last year cutoff here

While taking admission in NIT'S OR IIT'S Gate score will be considered in the admission procedure.

As Gate score was valid for three years that will be scaled and can be used for three years. So admission will be based on that only.
