Basically GATE is for 100 marks only and after securing marks out of 100 the marks get normalized and gate score is generated out of 1000.

GATE Score is normalized score across different sets of question papers. Because of the huge number of students there are different time slots

Yes you can give gate exam in 2020.One can give gate exam in final year of his graduation or after doing the graduation.
