Speaking about all the colleges of Bangaluru they are good for cse it ece branches, but some of the top colleges do provide good placement in mech too.Speaking about Dayananda Sagar university provides a average placement for mech students.

For becoming a faculty you should get a master's degree from a reputed institution.
Incase you cleared gate do Mtech from top IIT or nit then you can either go for phd or jobs
If you are interested in becoming a faculty then even a
Gate exam is conducted for admission in Mtech .
Almost all colleges use gate score during Mtech counselling.
It's conducted by iits and for getting into iit and IISC you need to score high marks and rank below 600.

Definitely you are eligible for giving gate exam.But for PSU'S you need to clear gate exam with a good rank i.e. less than 700-800 rank in each Branch.If you want a psu.
