Hello,
Since you have written GATE paper in XE, you won't be eligible for jobs into the PSUs. XE paper is quite easy compared to other paper codes as you have many choices out of which only two has to be attempted. XE paper is specifically for studies into M.Tech

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on the level of difficulty in exam, number of participants, seat matrix, your choice of streams etc. however to get into iits and tier 1 nits you must have score 40-70 marks in gate , at this rank your score

BITS gives admission to it's M.E. program through 2 process:

  • BITS HD online test
  • GATE/GPAT score

50% seats for BITS HD test students and 50% seats for students through GATE/GPAT.

According to past year records, one needs to score at least ~650 marks in GATE CS for admission.

Monika, GATE is an entrance exam for admisison to Post Graduate courses in Engineering, Technology and relevant Science courses. see the candidates who have gate or net qualified is given more preference at the time of interview, however for non gate candidates  e first round shortlisting criteria is  based on percentage or cgpa  in graduation,  then written test followed by interview.,however at this score you have less chances
