Yes, you can appear for BITS HD exam second time, keeping in mind the following criteria:-

• Should have passed B.E/B.Tech (or equivalent) course from a recognised university.

Must have scored minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

Unfortunately you cannot change your Exam centre. However as the last date for submitting the offline and online application forms is April 15th, please login with your credentials and check if you can edit any details. Honestly once you select an exam center, it gets locked and it cannot be changed. However do give it a try because that is the only option at this point in time.

Follow a time table and try to devote 12 to 15 hours a day towards study so don't forget to make a serious time table and clear and also revise all the basic concepts of ncert. If you have some coaching material and have concise notes go through it as there is no time for detailed study now .

Solve past year papers , and solve as number of mock test papers as you can .

If  you managed to do all these things then surely you will get good score in your Bitsat exam.

Yes, it i spossible to change the preference after filling the form for that you should apply with correct detailed form and receipt of rs. 500. with all the required documents and send it to admission office. BITS Pilani.

To confirm if you can do this you should contact the officials regarding the same and if they agree then you should proceed.

As Bits Pilani is one of the renowned colleges in the world, so its marks requirement should also be higher.

So, for Pilani, always the score has to be on the higher side. I would suggest to target a score of at least 180+. You should score minimum of 150 marks in bits hd exam to get Pilani Campus for Mechanical engineering.

BITS is a very good and renowned college. It offers ME courses via the HD exam. As for mechanical engineering, the the scenario is very good.

The faculty is very experienced and is always helpful. The curriculum is designed keeping in mind the latest industrial requirements. Ample opportunities for internships are available.

As for placements, the scenario is very good and a lot of peple get PPOs from their internships. For ME Mechanical, 12 out of 13 students got placed and the average package was 8 lakh per annum. For ME Design, 6 out of 12 got placed and the average package was 6.5 lakh per annum,the rest have internships. For ME Manufacturing Systems, 4 out of 11 got placed and others have internships, the average package was 7-7.5 lakhs per annum.
