Hello dear..
Hey, with a rank of 917 there is no chance of getting AEC, very little chance of getting JEC and chances of getting into the other govt. colleges are high provided you belong to the UR category.
If you belong to reserved categories chance of getting JEC is high but even then securing a seat in AEC is a little difficult considering the high mark range this year and number of seats available in the colleges.
Hope it helped!
Hi, Nilupal.
Jorhat Engineering college is one of the most prominent colleges in assam
The current intake of the number of students into the college is 315.
The minimum cutoff marks to be eligible for the jec for your category is 94 marks.
As you scored more than that, you'll be able to get into admissions for jec, though your branch will be dependent upon the counselling due to the fact that lesser rank students has more options than you.
Hope this helps.
No update yet. Hopefully tomorrow.
Hello,

See, this answer is on the basis of previous year analysis. This year it may vary. The choice of branch among students depends upon the placement scenario of the previous years.
Yes,Good chances in Jec for this rank you easily get admission in electrical engineering but less chance in mechanical engineering. For more details go here :https://engineering.careers360.com/jorhat-engineering-college-jorhat

Hi, kritismika.
The current intake of the number of students into the college is 315
For your category, the minimum cutoff marks to be eligible for jec is 100
As you got less than 100, you will surely not be able to get into jec for the admissions through first counselling, but you can certainly try for second counselling during which there will be courses that are left in first counselling where you might get it.
Good luck.
Yes as you from obc category godd chances in both branches applied for it for more details go here:http://engineering.careers360.com/jorhat-engineering-college-jorhat
