It should not have happened because they firstly allot you seat according to your reservation. This happens when the seats under the BC-E quota are filled or something like that. Still wait for the next round if there is any, you might get upgraded.

Since the closing ranks for colleges are not available anywhere so I cannot really give you any exact suggestions regarding the colleges that you can get with this rank. 

Now going with my knowledge, there is little chance for you to get a seat in AU as it is one of the most sought after universities and there will be many more candidates with better ranks waiting for the seats. Belonging to a reserved category might not be helpful too.

I would suggest you to opt for other colleges or try again in the next year.

First of all congratulations on such a good performance in AP PGECET 2019. The scenario for you is as best as it gets. At your rank you should have no problem whatsoever in getting any college. You will easily get a seat in Andhra University so, don't worry.

AP PGECET 2020 Eligibility Criteria-

Nationality: Indian citizen candidates will be eligible to apply.

Qualification: Candidates must qualify B.Tech, B.Pharma or any equivalent examination from any recognized board/ University.

Percentage: Candidates must pass with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category) in Bachelor’s degree.

Domicile: Candidates must have Andhra Pradesh state domicile or must satisfy local/ non-local status requirement as laid down by the respective authority.

Score card: Candidates must have score card of any of the exams as GATE/ GPAT/ AP PGECET.

Medical Fitness: Candidates must be fit in all aspects of fitness.

• You must have passed graduation ( B.E, B.Tech) in any discipline from the recognized board or university.
• If belong toto gener category then you should secure a minimum of 50%, and the reserved category candidates should get 45% aggregate in the graduation.

The counselling registration of AP PGECET 2019 for GATE and GPAT qualified candidates is going to start from June 27 and going to end on July 11, 2019. 

The counselling is supposed to start from the fourth week of July.

The counselling registration of AP PGECET 2019 for GATE and GPAT qualified candidates is going to start from June 27 and going to end on July 11, 2019. The participating colleges will give first preferences to these candidates. The vacant seats will then be filled by AP PGECET qualifiers.

The counselling registration dates for AP PGECET candidates have not been provided yet.

The AP PGECET counselling is supposed to start from the fourth week of July.

The counselling fee will be 1000 INR.

The counselling procedure includes :-

• Registration and Fee Payment
• Reporting for Document Verification
• Verification of Document
• Filling of Choices
• Seat Allotment
• Modification of Options and Freezing
• Final Seat Allotment
