Congratulations for your Good rank.
At this rank, You have chances to get seat in AU, JNTUK or SVU. According to the previous year cutoff these colleges you have secure good rank to get seat in these colleges. The closing ranks for all these colleges have been as low as 2 and the highest has been 358. The Cutoffs vary every year, the cutoff depends on some factors like: Difficulty level of the exam, Number of available seats, Total number of candidates who attempted the examination, Number of candidates who qualified the examination. At your rank you may get seat in these colleges with CSE stream.
I hope this will help you.
All the best for your bright future ahead.
Dear aspirant
Yes you can get seat in government college according to your rank and category.
But the candidate should belongs to the Andhra Pradesh state.
All the best.
Yes you can get m.tech seat in jntuk by self financing. It is a Coed, Aided college. And self financing courses are more costlier than your regular courses but the circumstances will remain same.
https://www.careers360.com/university/jawaharlal-nehru-technological-university-kakinada This is the link of that University.
Dear Aspirant,
Sel finance category is a good way of getting an admission into JNTUK. There are many branches and programmes where you can get a post graduation in Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University.
However, it works only for specific programmes and sometimes for reservation seats. If you want to pursue one of these programme s in JNTUK with respect to the category, then you definitely can be a part of JNTUK through self finance with respect to your ap PGECET rank.
These programme s are:-
Hydraulics and water resources engineering ( general)
Power electronic and drive s
VLSI Embedded systems
Communication engineering and signal processing (st).
There are many more.
Good luck.
Top government institutes like JNTUK, Andhra University, etc provide admission for post graduation programme to students with good ranks. Furthermore, if a student has a good quota rank, getting an m.tech seat is even easier.
The only problem in getting an M.Tech seat through AP PGECET is that the number of seats is very much less as compared to the number of if seats. Furthermore, the number of applications is also huge. Moreover, almost 80 % to 90 % candidates qualify in the AP PGECET exam. This percentage is even higher for engineering students closing towards 92%.
Reserved seats are very few as well. So you can see the intensity of the competition and your chances of getting in one of them.
However, not everything is dull around here. You definitely have some chances of getting admission in lower tier government engineering colleges. If that fails, there is always a private institute.
Now what you should do is to compare the lower tier government engineering colleges and private institutes. The factors that may stress on are placement prospects, research scope, good infrastructure, skill oriented education, good teaching faculty, etc.
In order to compare colleges, you can always click on this url:-

Good luck in finding a good college with your desired post graduation programme. All the very best.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University is one of the most well known institutes of the state. In order to pursue post graduation programme in this prestigious institute, students need to achieve a very good rank. As compared to undergraduate seats, the post graduation seats are very small/pale in comparison. Therefore, the competition is even more intense depending upon the number of applications for the post graduation programme.
With respect to your rank, the only branch where you can expect a post graduation programme in JNTUK is Mechanical engineering. All other branches of the institute demands a much better rank of close to 200 or 250 to be able to get a M.Tech seat.
Furthermore, even if you have open category female, it still is not capable enough to get you into JNTUK. If you had any other quota like SC, st, or backward caste, only then you could have gained an M.Tech Seat in JNTUK.
However, if you have a good GATE rank, you may have some chance of getting an admission in your desired institute.
Inspire of the difficulty, there is no need to worry as there are other institutes that also offer good post graduation programmes.
Good luck in pursuing a good post graduation programme. All the best in all your future endeavors.
