Hello!
In JEE Advanced eligibility, the top 5 subjects from your board exam are considered. Usually, they are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and any two other subjects from the main curriculum. If CMS is your optional subject and IT is an additional subject, the board will still calculate based on the 5 highest marks from your eligible subjects. Additional subjects are considered only if they replace a lower score from another subject. For example, if IT has a higher score than English or CMS, then IT can be counted. However, some boards follow strict rules where only main subjects are counted, so you must verify with your board’s official notification. The 75% criteria means your average percentage in those best 5 subjects must meet the requirement. My advice—list all your subjects, arrange them from highest to lowest marks, and take the top five as per rules.
Hope this clears your doubt!
Hello Aspirant,
You can easily find JEE Main 2024 question papers for both Session 1 (January) and Session 2 (April) online. Many educational websites like Vedantu, Shiksha, BYJU'S, eSaral, Allen, and MathonGo provide these papers for free download, often with detailed solutions and answer keys. You can usually find them categorized by shift and date for convenient practice.
For instance, sites will have separate PDFs for each shift of each exam day (e.g., January 27 Shift 1, April 4 Shift 2). These are invaluable for understanding the exam pattern, difficulty level, and important topics.

Since your daughter was born in Kerala and you completed your full education there, she is eligible for KEAM. Even though she is studying in Pune now, she can apply under the “Keralite” category as per KEAM rules. Just make sure to submit valid proof of birth in Kerala and your education certificates from Kerala during the application process. This will ensure she is considered a Keralite for admission purposes.
Several online exams in India cater to Class 11 PCM students, beneficial for JEE preparation. These include:

Hello,
No, you don't have to discontinue your BSc degree to appear in the JEE Mains exam. In JEE Mains you can appear while enrolled in another degree. But, if you qualify for the better college, then you can't resume your degree, and you have to discontinue your BSc degree and go for the B.Tech degree at the other college.
I hope it will clear your query!!

For the top 20 percentile eligibility in JOSAA counselling, the category that is used is based on what you declare in your JEE Mains application and for which you provide a valid certificate during document verification not necessarily the one mentioned in your board exam. Since you're from Maharashtra and appeared under SEBC, you’ll be treated as a General category candidate unless you have a valid central OBC NCL certificate.
So for JOSAA, they’ll consider your category only if it’s valid under the central category list and matches what you declared in JEE Mains along with the correct certificate. The SEBC category used in the MH board won’t be considered by JOSAA unless it overlaps with central OBC NCL.
With 79 percentile in JEE Main, NITs/IIITs are unlikely, but you can target top private engineering colleges in Karnataka like RVCE, BMSCE, MSRIT, PES University, and DSCE through COMEDK or management quota.
You have a good chance for branches like ECE, Mechanical, or Civil. For CSE or AI/ML, management quota is the best route. Consider KCET counselling if you're a Karnataka student.
