Haryana B.Tech Reservation CriteriaHaryana B.Tech Reservation Criteria 2017 - Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech programmes under reserved categories have to meet the Haryana B.Tech 2017 Reservation Criteria issued by HSTES. Reservation of seats for Haryana B.Tech 2017 is available under categories like OBC, ST, SC, ex-servicemen, person with disabilities, and also female candidates. The nature of reservation, however, may vary depending on the type of institute: (1) Government/Government Aided/University Departments, (2) Private unaided institute, and (3) Private unaided minority institute. In case of Government or Government aided institutes, 25% of the seats in all categories are set aside for girl candidates through horizontal reservation. Apart from this, 1 seat in every B.Tech programme and participating institute is reserved for 10+2 Haryana Government Sen. Sec. school topper. Candidates with Science stream should have minimum 2nd division to avail the benefit of this 1 reserved seat for the admission year 2017. In private unaided institutions, 50% of the sanctioned seats (including 25% management quota seats) will be filled by the institutions themselves on the basis of All India Rank of JEE Main 2017 first and thereafter on the basis of merit of marks secured in qualifying examination, while the remaining 50% will be filled through HSTES. Candidates can select their category at the time of registering for counselling. After seats have been allotted, they will have to report at the assigned institutes with the supporting category documents. Reserved category candidates will be offered seats based on JEE Main 2017 scores or performance in qualifying exam. Haryana B.Tech 2017 Reservation Criteria: Important Points

  • Reservation of seats for Haryana B.Tech 2017 will be as per the guidelines set by the State Government of India and issued by HSTES

  • In addition to ST, SC, OBC, and ex-servicemen, seats will also be reserved for female candidates in female candidates in Government/Government Aided/University Departments

  • The nature of reservation will be different for different type of institutes: (1) Government/Government Aided/University Departments, (2) Private unaided institute, and (3) Private unaided minority institute.

  • Candidates can select their category at the time of registering for Haryana B.Tech counselling.       

Haryana B.Tech Reservation Criteria 2017: Government/Government Aided/University Departments

 

AICTE approved technical institutes listed under this category will follow the reservation policy mandated by the State Government of Haryana

  1. State reservation policy will be used for preparing the seat matrix and for counselling.

  2. 25% of seats across all categories will be horizontally reserved for female candidates.

  3. Haryana Govt. Senior Secondary School Topper (HGST): Each branch of every institute must keep aside one seat for 10+2 topper.

Haryana B.Tech Reservation Criteria 2017: Private Unaided Institutions

  1. 50% B.E./B.Tech seats (including 25% management quota) will be filled at the institution level first on the basis of All India Rank in JEE Main 2017 and thereafter on the basis of merit of marks in the qualifying exam.

  2. The remaining 50% seats shall be filled through HSTES. This intake of 50% shall be done from Haryana resident and All India open (AIO) category candidates as per the State Reservation Policy in counselling.

  3. For B.Arch: Institute 25% seats of the sanctioned intake (management quota) at their own level. Rest 75% seats will be filled through HSTES. The 75% seats will be filled by HSTES from Haryana resident and All India open (AIO) category candidates as per the State Reservation Policy in counselling.

Haryana B.Tech Reservation Criteria 2017: Private Unaided Minority Institutions

  1. Up to 15% of seats will be reserved for All India Category, including NRI candidates

  2. 42.5% of total intake is reserved for minority candidates

  3. The remaining 42.5 will be filled equally by Haryana Open General candidates and half by reserved categories of Haryana
