In private unaided institutions, 50% of the sanctioned seats (including 25% management quota seats) will be filled by the institutions themselves on the basis of All India Rank of JEE Main 2017 first and thereafter on the basis of merit of marks secured in qualifying examination, while the remaining 50% will be filled through HSTES. Candidates can select their category at the time of registering for counselling. After seats have been allotted, they will have to report at the assigned institutes with the supporting category documents. Reserved category candidates will be offered seats based on JEE Main 2017 scores or performance in qualifying exam.
