HSTES Reservation Criteria 2025 - HSTES will release the Haryana B.Tech 2025 reservation criteria on the official website hstes.org.in. The category-wise HSTES reservation criteria is provided here based on the previous year's notification. As per the Haryana B.Tech reservation criteria, a total of 85% seats are reserved for candidates from Haryana. The remaining 15% of seats can be occupied by candidates from outside the state. Candidates who seek HSTES B.Tech admission 2025 must check the category-wise HSTES B.Tech reservation criteria beforehand. The authority is expected to release the HSTES 2025 application form in May 2025.

The HSTES reservation criteria for Haryana B.Tech admission 2025 will be followed at various institutes such as Govt./Govt. Aided/University, Private Unaided, and Private Minority Unaided Institutes. The Haryana B.Tech 2025 reservation criteria is based on the state guidelines. Admissions will be done through the HSTES counselling based on JEE Main or 10+2 scores. HSTES 2025 Reservation Criteria for Government/Government Aided/University Departments

Institutes under this category which are approved by AICTE will follow the reservation policy as prepared by the State Government of Haryana.

  • To prepare the seat matrix and counselling, state reservation policy will be used

  • 25% of seats across all categories will be horizontally reserved for female candidates.

  • Haryana Govt. Senior Secondary School Topper (HGST): One seat in each branch discipline of the B.Tech course in every institute will be reserved for 10+2 toppers within the sanctioned intake (Science stream of year 2021 having minimum 2nd division).

HSTES 2025 Reservation Criteria for Private Unaided Institutes

Candidates seeking admission in private unaided institutes shall check the reservation and admission policies as provided here

  • 50% of the sanctioned B.E./B. Tech AICTE-approved seats (including 25% management quota) will be filled at the institution level first on the basis of All India Rank in JEE Main and thereafter on the basis of merit of marks in the qualifying exam.

  • The remaining 50% seats shall be filled through HSTES. This intake of 50% shall be done from Haryana residents and All India Open (AIO) category candidates as per the State Reservation Policy in counselling.

  • For B.Arch: 25% of the institute seats of the sanctioned intake (management quota) will be filled at their own level. Rest 75% seats will be filled through HSTES. The 75% seats will be filled by HSTES by Haryana residents and All India Open (AIO) category candidates as per the State Reservation Policy in counselling.

HSTES 2025 Reservation Criteria for Private Unaided Minority Institutes

Candidates seeking admission in private unaided minority institutes shall check the reservation and admission policies as provided here

  • Up to 15% of seats will be reserved for the rest of the Haryana Category, including NRI candidates

  • 42.5% of the total intake through HSTES B.Tech admission 2025 is reserved for minority candidates

  • The remaining 42.5 will be filled equally by Haryana Open General candidates and half by reserved categories of Haryana

HSTES Reservation Criteria 2025 - Important Information

Before taking admission in B.Tech courses, every applicant is advised to check the below listed HSTES reservation criteria.

  • HSTES 2025 reservation criteria will be as per the guidelines set by the State Government of India and issued by HSTES.

  • In addition to ST, SC, OBC, and ex-servicemen, seats will also be reserved for female candidates in female candidates in Government/Government Aided/University Departments.

  • The nature of reservation will be different for different types of institutes: Government/Government-aided/University Departments, Private unaided institutes, and Private unaided minority institutes.

  • Candidates can select their category at the time of registering for HSTES counselling 2025.
