IIT Guwahati will conduct the GATE 2026 Exam on February 7, 8, 24 & 15, 2025.
Every candidate who is currently in the third or higher year of any undergraduate degree program OR who has previously finished any government authorized degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture, Science, Commerce, and the Arts are all eligible to sit the GATE 2026 exam.
The authority will conduct the GATE 2026 exam for 3 hours.
There are about 65 Questions i.e. 10 GA and 55 Subjective
(i) In all papers and sections, there are 1 or 2 mark Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). These questions are objective in nature, and each will have four possible responses, only one of which is right.
(ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) worth 1 or 2 marks in each paper and section. These questions are objective in nature, and each will have four possible solutions, ONE or MORE than ONE of which is/are accurate.
(iii) Numerical Response Type (NAT) in most papers and sections, questions are worth one or two points. The solution to these questions is a signed real integer, which the applicant must input using the virtual numeric key.
