You are not having good chances as the last year's cutoffs for all branches was 50000. The rank above this is very unlikely to get admission.

VIT does not release VITEEE 2018 cutoff in the form of marks but releases it in the form

The slot booking for  VITEEE 2018 dates has not yet announced officially by VIT University till now !This delay was due to the exam last date was extended by VIT University, The dates maybe announced in the third or fourth week of march.For regular updates about VITEEE 2018

There is a less chance to get CSE in main campus i.e, vellore as that is the top most popular branch now a days.. But there is a little hope to get in chennai capus or other 2 campuses.. Or in 2nd  or 3rd counselling.. Though the fee is high...

your question is quite good one , yeah i accept that they take only by VITEE marks , the closing rank is low because the demand for the VIT is quite high and the students are very passionate to join and VITEE admission decides you only by VITEE marks
