I cant able to understand nee Patten of jee main how 300 marks for 90 questions??

darshita 28th Jan, 2021

Hello,

Some changes that will be conducted in the new pattern are:

  • Four sessions of the exam instead of two. The Paper 1 exam will be held in February, March, April and May. ( BTech students)
  • Paper 1 will now consist of 90 questions where 20 questions will be asked in section a and 10 in section b.
  • You can answer a total of 75 questions – 20 questions in section a and 5 questions in section b for each subject – Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.
  • The question papers will be set in 13 different languages.

In simple words 25 questions of PCM subjects .total questions 90 and you have to attempt only 75 in section A.

Section B which are numerical ones so 10 of each PCM. So you to attempt only five in each subject.

That's why the total is 300 marks and 90 questions.

You know that four marks for correct answer is there right.

Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and

Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, you have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for s ection B.

how much can I score out of 300 by only doing ncert in nee Main?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 17th Jan, 2021
Hello,

Its very hard to say how much you would be able to score in JEE mains by just preparing from NCERTs.
See, NCERTs are very important, infact they are the base, but you cannot secure good marks and ranks just by reading ncert because the questions in examination are very twisted and actually quite tough. So, you will have to study and solve questions from advance books if you want to score well.
Atleast complete some important books like HC Verma and DC Pandey for Physics, TMH Publications or Arihant Publications for Mathematics and P Bahadur and RC Mukhergee for Chemistry.

I hope this helps.

Im doing 11,12 Himachal pardesh but Im not doimicle. Can i apply state consuling of Himachal pardesh.

ayanmukherjee045 5th Jan, 2021

Dear aspirant,

According to your question and taking into consideration that you do not have domicile although you are doing 11th and 12th from 12 Std,so you should be able to claim your domicile certificate.

If you have your own home in himachal pradesh then you can absolutely claim for your domicile certificate but if not then also you can make showing your 10th 12th documents which proves you have done your schooling from there.

But if you don't have domicile certificate then you can't apply for himachal pradesh counselling.

You can also ask your doubts in comments section if you have any.

when was the jee mains 2021 is conducting ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 10th Dec, 2020

The HRD Minister is conducting a webinar with the Parents, teachers and students regarding the syllabus, schedule for competitive exams like JEE Mains and NEET now. The registration process hasn't begun yet. We have to wait until end of the the day today for any information on this. The HRD Minister did announce that a campaign will be launched to take the opinions of Students, teachers and Parents regarding the CBSE date sheet, NEET and JEE examination syllabus. You can check that on social media and if you have any questions you can use the hashtag #EducationMinistergoeslive on December the 10th. Ideally the official notification for JEE Mains is released in December and February. NTA has not released any official information regarding JEE Mains 2021 yet. It might be scheduled February 2021 and May 2021 but the application process might begin a month or 2 late may be in January. So please wait to hear from NTA or MHRD regarding this. The latest information is that there will be a review meeting on December 10th regarding JEE Mains syllabus and so then  both MHRD and NTA will take a call on the dates for JEE Mains 2021. NTA has not released any official information regarding JEE 2021 yet. It might be scheduled for February 2021 and June 2021 but the application process might begin a month or 2 late may be in January. So please wait to hear from NTA or MHRD regarding this.  To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate criteria. But if you want to join NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% only in your 12th. 11th marks aren't considered. And then to appear for JEE Advanced which is the gateway for admission to IITs, you will need to fulfill the 75% aggregate condition. Now it is 75% for General Category and 65% for Reserved Categories. So how much you score in 12th is what matters to secure your eligibility for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and JEE Advanced.
