The eligibility criteria for JEXPO states that the candidate interested to join should have passed class 10th or equivalent exam with eglish, science/ physical science and mathematics from a recognised board of education. Yes, You can apply for polytechnic after the class 10. JEXPO is state level entrance exam conduct for the admission in engineering,technology and architecture courses in self finance polytechnic colleges across the West Bengal. You can register for jexpo through online as well as offline mode. Exam will be conduct through offline mode.

JEXPO is an entrance examination for admission to Diploma courses in Polytechnic colleges of West Bengal. The courses are into admission and technology and the exam is conducted by West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. So sorry but the there is a condition that

'Date of birth of candidate should be after 1 July 2005. There is no upper age limit for JEXPO 2020 candidates'

But you can surely try the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or the WBJEE.

Hello there,

Eligibility for the exam is

Nationality: Applying candidate must be citizen of India.

Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed his/her 10 th level (Madhyamik) exams or its equivalent from a Recognized Board or University.

Qualifying Subjects: Applying candidate must have passed his/her 10 th level exams with Mathematics , English and Science /Physical Science subjects.

Qualifying Marks: He/she must have passed his 10 th level exams with minimum of 35% marks .

Appearing: Candidates appearing in the 10 th level exams are also eligible.

Age Criteria: Applying candidate must not be born after July 1, 2005 . There is no upper age limit p rescribed to apply.

since there is no upper age limit, you are eligible age wise. Rest of the criteria are mentioned above, make sure you fullfil them.

I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but you are not eligible for JEXPO 2020 examination as to be eligible you must have born no earlier than July 1, 2005 but you were born in 2002 , thus you are not eligible.


Srinjoy, Check its eligibility criteria provided below :-


  • You must be Indian
  • You should have passed Class 10 exam conducted by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent exam with minimum 35% aggregate marks in English, Physical Science/Science and Mathematics, among others.
  • You must be born no earlier than July 1, 2005.

Hello there,

JEXPO is the Entrance Examination for admission in different government Polytechnic colleges of west bengal.
Students take admission in different colleges as per their merit score in this exam.
The mininum criteria for the exam is:
Student must have passed 10th board with at least 35% aggregate.
He should be an Indian.
The candidate must be born on or after  July1, 2005 to become eligible for JEXPO 2020.
