72 percentile is a good score but sorry to say that  With this score you won't get engineering seat in prestihious  governmentcolleges

If you have git PWD certificate then you may have chances of getting Engnneering seat in NITs .

Though the admission to NITs and IITs depends upon cutoff jee main.  Cut off depends upon seat intake , number of candidates appeared in exam,  difficulty level of exam ,
