I am father of JEE aspirant. My son got 99.4 percentile in JEE main. He will get ECE branch in NIT TRICHY AND IIIT Bangalore. Which one to choose? I can afford financially.

Akansha Sharma 23rd May, 2025

Both NIT Trichy and IIIT Bangalore are excellent, but they have different strengths. NIT Trichy is one of India’s top NITs with a strong reputation, great campus life, and good placements for ECE. IIIT Bangalore is newer but highly focused on IT and electronics, with a great location (Bangalore) and strong industry connections. If your son prefers a structured B.Tech with a full college experience, choose NIT Trichy. If he wants tech exposure and industry-driven learning, IIIT Bangalore is great.

Hello Gokul,

For a student with a JEE percentile of 91 and a board score of 95.9, the general fee structure for a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is as follows:

Government Colleges (e.g., NITs, IIITs, GFTIs) :

  • Tuition Fee : Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,50,000 per year

  • Hostel and Mess Charges : Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 60,000 per year

  • Other Charges : Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 per year

  • Total Estimated Cost : Rs. 4 to 6 lakhs for the full course

    Private Engineering Colleges :

  • Tuition Fee : Rs. 1,50,000 to Rs. 3,00,000 per year

  • Hostel and Other Charges : Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 per year

  • Total Estimated Cost : Rs. 7 to 12 lakhs for the full course

Note: Scholarships, fee waivers, and government schemes are available for meritorious or economically weaker students in both categories.

Colleges in tamilnadu applicable for jee mains percentile of 49 and total boards score of 700

Akansha Sharma 23rd May, 2025

With a JEE Mains percentile of 49 and board score of 700, getting admission in top Tamil Nadu colleges through JEE may be difficult. However, you can try government engineering colleges through TNEA counselling (based on 12th marks) instead of JEE. Some private colleges may also accept your score. Focus on applying to colleges like Anna University’s affiliated colleges or other private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu where cutoff is lower. Improving your score can help get better options next time.

Akansha Sharma 23rd May, 2025

Hello! It’s hard to say exactly if JEE Advanced 2025 will be tougher than 2022, but usually the difficulty varies every year. If you expect to score around 41 marks in JEE Advanced and you belong to the SC category, your category rank might be around 8,000 to 12,000 based on past trends. The 2022 paper was considered moderately tough. Focus on doing your best, prepare well, and don’t worry too much about which year was harder.

With 71 percentile in JEE Mains and 50% in 12th, as an SC category girl, you can try for government or state-level engineering colleges with low or no fees. Many states offer scholarships and fee waivers for SC girls, so look for colleges under your state’s engineering admission process. Also, consider applying in government polytechnic colleges for diploma courses with easy admission and low fees. Focus on colleges that offer scholarships and reserved seats for SC category students to reduce fees.

What is cutoff jee for IITM gurgaon college

Akansha Sharma 23rd May, 2025

IITM Gurgaon is a private college, not an IIT. The JEE Main cutoff for IITM Gurgaon usually ranges between 60 to 75 percentile for general category courses like Mechanical and Electronics Engineering. Since you have 84.26 percentile in JEE Mains and good 12th marks, you have a good chance to get admission there. can i get admission in kj somaiya with 62 marks in mht cet and jee mains percentile of 74?

Akansha Sharma 23rd May, 2025

With 62 marks in MHT CET and 74 percentile in JEE Mains, it may be hard to get admission in K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering for popular branches like Computer Engineering. Their cutoffs are usually higher. You can try applying to other colleges with lower cutoffs or consider diploma courses that lead to engineering later. Improving your exam scores next time will also increase your chances of getting admission in better colleges.
