Sir my percentile in jee main april 2019 is 83.66 and my rank is 188000 have i qualified for jee advance sir i belong to general categry

Hey harishankar,

You are not eligible for JEE Advanced examination with this much score of 83.66 percentile from general category. The cutoff for the general category is 89 percentile which is quite high. I will suggest you to take a year drop and prepare for JEE 2020.

See thw rank u have secured is not enough for u to bag a seat in the NITs or any other good colleges like IIITs and GFTIs for pursuing ur higher studies in the  field of ur interest under the btech courses. U should be doing good preparation

According to your rank and based on the previous year cutoff, chances would be less of getting a seat in NITs, IIITs.

Hey Koushtav,

You have qualified for JEE Advanced examination with this much percentile score of 70.87. The cutoff for SC category is only 54 percentile. So in my opinion you may get a good NIT. Just take the right decision. I hope you have got the point.

According to NTA, a student can  attempt JEE Main exam twice in a particular academic session. However, as per eligibility criteria & the age for appearing in JEE Mains 2019, a candidate can appear in the JEE Exam for 3 consecutive years.

Qualifying cutoff for appearing in JEE Advanced for IIT admissions for OBC category is 74.3166557. You are not eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. You can take admissionin Engineering colleges through JEE Main rank.
