Rank is considered for JEE advanced eligibility. Every year 2.24lakh students qualify for JEE advanced, to secure a rank below 2.24 lakh your percentile should be above 87%.

Hello Joseph,

JEE Main 2019 Qualifying cutoff is 89.7548849 as General category. You should meet the cutoff to be eligible for JEE Advance & JOSSA counselling. But You can try for the admission to state level colleges on the basis of JEE Main score. If you mention here your JEE

In JEE exam information brochure as mentioned, 245000 studends will qualify this year this figure may be increases in some thousands but definitely not decrease.

But you are surely not qualified.

For being eligible in JoSAA counseling, you need to have a better/greater percentile then the minimum threshold/cut-off percentile set by the concerned authority.

This cut-off varies according to the category and according with your physical fittness.

Well brother,  regarding eligibility you must have got a percentile of JEE mains

With you category, you have to surpass 78.3%ile threshold. If you had then you have cleared the JEE mains and eligible for JEE advanced.

Though with your rank, it seems you have comprehensively cleared your JEE mains

I Secured in January 88 P and April 85 and I am EWS category but not mentioned in form . So Can I enroll in main advance examination

Hello Suneel,

The candidates whose family has a gross annual income below Rs 8 lakh (Rupees eight lakh only) is to be identified as EWS for the benefit of reservation. Category declared during JEE (Main) registration cannot be changed during JEE (Advanced) registration.

Since PwD cut off was marginal 0.11%ile so with this rank you can easily expect to clear the mains cut off.

Now coming at college, yes you do stand a chance of getting a decent seat at decent NIT.

You can just give their entrance exam which is KL ENGINEERING entrance exam to get admission there.
