Actually EWS category is introduced this year only so there are problems going on related to that so yes while filling the registration form for JEE advanced you can change your category to general. Also you should ask to other officials of the states for the ews category

Hello dear you cannot correct your category at time of jee advance form filling as the option has only came after jee mains form filling i.e. in January and march. Now whatever category you have mentioned in jee mains form that same category you have to fill in advance form.
