The advance examination for the admission of the IITs will have satisfy the subject wise cut off.
Candidate without satisfying individual subject cut off are considered as not qualified in examination and you're not able to get IIT seat.

  • Focus on improving your problem-solving speed, which requires continuous practice. Drill yourself with regular numerical problem practice

According to rough calculations your rank won't go more than 15k. It will be under 15k. You can get core branches in middle NITs. If you are compatible than, you can leave mains and focus on jee advanced.  But, remember you won't get CSE  in NITs, you need to

The maximum marks for JEE advanced is not fixed and this year JEE advanced is yet to be conducted.

therefore it cannot be predicted what would be your all India rank in JEE advanced if you get 85 marks.also the all India rank depends upon the relative performance sometime question
