Go to google and search National Commission for Backward Classes website and when you will reach the homepage of the website, you will see name of all the states in India. Now, choose your current and state and check your name of caste and category.

To be eligible to get admission in IITs/NITs/IIITs a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with atleast 75% aggregate for general category candidates, for SC/ST it is 45% from a recognised board or university.

see suppose you passed your 12th exam on 2016, then you are eligible to give jee main exam on 2018 and 2019.

from your question I make out that you have passed 12th on 2018, so thats why you are not eligible to give jee advanced on 2020. because
