The maximum marks for JEE advance is not fixed and it keeps on changing every year therefore it is not possible to tell you exactly how much marks you need to score to get 9000 rank.

when jee main result is published , NTA board also releases the number of students eligible for JEE advance. the board also releases merit list for candidates. those who have name in that list are eligible and appear for JEE advance.

The score differs grom one IIT to another. Students must score the more or equal than the cutoff marks specified by the JEE Advanced Board 2020.

Siddanth,To be eligible for appearing for  JEE Advanced, which is the gateway for admission to IITs, NITs and GFTIs, you need to secure a minimum aggregate of 75% in your boards or be atleast in the top 20 percentile. It is 75 percentile for General Category and 65% for Reserved

For admission in IITs/ NITs/ IIITs and other CFTIs you must have scores least 75% marks in class 12, or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th class exam conducted by your board. For SC/ST candidates, the qualifying marks are 65% marks.
