The eligibility criteria to appear in the JEE advanced exam is as follows:
1. The candidate should have passed the JEE mains, and the rank should be above 2,50,000.
2. The candidate should be born october october 1, 1996
3. The candidates should have qualified the 10+2th examination in 2020

see as per the nits fees payment structure policies students have to pay the semester wise fees before the commencement of classes of semester. since you have enrolled on 2020, you would have two semester completed upto the counselling of jee main exams. due to covid 19 the schedules

You need not to know the basics about IIT. To get good rank in JEE Advanced, first of all you need to clear JEE Mains. For preparation of both these exams, you can start from now only as you are in Intermediate 1st year. Start will clearing your concepts.

As per your SC category you not need to score very high. To get admission into old IIT's like IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur , IIT Madras you have to get a JEE Advance rank near 2500-3000.
