The eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced depends upon JEE Mains. In fact JEE mains is a preliminary test for JEE Advanced. Candidates who gets a rank less than 2,50,000 (AIR General Rank) are eligible for JEE Advanced.

The JEE MAINS 77.75 %-ile have a predictive overall rank of 227618 - 255875. Now to be eligible for the JEE ADVANCED the student have to clear the JEE MAINS cut off for 2021.

Hello,

No, you can not give JEE Advanced without JEE Main. You have to qualify JEE Main then only you can give Advanced. Furthermore, only the top qualified candidates of JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced examination.

If you are happy with the percentile then you have no need to sit for the exam again. Now if you want to improve your score then you should go for the next examinations.

Now the 98.6 percentile implies that you have a predictive rank of around 14322 - 16100.

You can write JEE advanced exam as the eligibility criteria for JEE advanced is 75% in 12th boards, which is waived due to the coronavirus pandemic,

Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95

GEN-EWS - 70- 75

Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75
