In jee advanced the qualifying marks for each subject is calculated as for each paper separately or calculated for paper 1 plus paper 2

Actually this rank is enough to qualify the examination. But getting an IIT is tough for you. But as you are category student then in lower IITs you can able to have a seat.

84 marks is not a good score to go into any IIT college. You have to score more than 50% to be take admission in IIT as 84 marks is a low score. For general category the chances are very low.

Hello,

The cut off for JEE Advanced 2021 is yet to be announced. In 2020 minimum aggregate marks required for preparatory course is 10 marks altogether in JEE Advanced. So if you score minimum 10 marks or above you will be eligible for preparatory course. Cut off changes every year
