Every year, the exam conducting IIT changes the test pattern. Last year, IIT Guwahati conducted JEE Advanced. Both papers, 1 and 2, carried a total of 54 questions each. The exam was of 372 marks, each paper of total 186 marks.

You are only eligible for NITs and IIITs through JEE MAIN but you cannot go for IITs as you are not eligible for Jee advance.

It is not at all advisable to do so.
FIRST OF ALL, one should accept the fact that the jee (adv.) is conducted by the 7 zonal iit(s) and not the CBSE. It is a different platform altogether.
There you have to prepare for 'more than one correct type' ,
