Can I attempt JEE advanced with 82.8 percentile Im a general category student

Hello aspirant

Considering the total number of students to be 10 lakhs and using the below formula.

 Rank= (total number of students -(percentile*0.01*number of students))

Your rank comes out to be 172000 .

This is sufficient to qualify for jee advance .

According to your percentile score in the JEE Main exam, chances would be tough of getting a seat in NITs.

You should appear for the JEE Main April exam as well and aim to score better in that attempt.

Based on the rank and category provied by you your daughter may not qualify in jee main.

Her rak will be around 190000-230000 in obc category.

She should start preparing for her april attempt of jee main.

JEE Main qualifying cutoff will be declared by NTA along with the result of the JEE Main April exam. However, as per your percentile score, chances would be less to qualify for the JEE Advanced exam.

Yeas Raman it means you have qualified for jee advance and can appear the exam. Its score will determine whether or not you get an IIT. Your jee mains mark would determine whether or not you get into an NIT or many other colleges accepting jee mains score.
