I got 83.7% in jee. Do I get seat in NIT. My OBC rank is 58312 Am I eligible for jee advance. plz clear my doubt.

83.7% means that you are above 83.7% of the examiners. Therefore, it is a good score and the obc cut off has been set at 74.31 percentile so, you are eligible to sit for Jee advance. All the best !

I wrote jee mains in January session and didnt apply for April session and forgot to change my category from general to ews.

the correction date for JEE main April was 11 to 15 march.

and now the date has crosed.

so nothing can be done now.

your rank will be according to general rank.

All the data you fill in the JEE main registration,the same you will have to fill in JEE Advance registration(Application form).

your rank will be announced according to general category.

You haven't mentioned your category of eligibility. For general category cutoff percentile is 89.75 , for OBC category cutoff is 74.31 percentile, for SC category cutoff is 54.01 percentile and st category cutoff is 44.33 percentile.

New jee advance syllabus for 2020

Syllabus of JEE Advance is declared by the conducting IIT.

and for 2020 it i not declared yet.

but you can take reference of 2019  syllabus.because every year syllabus is approximately same.

Hello candidate,
According to your mentioned percentile your general category rank will be around 2.24 lakh, with this rank you have negligible chances of getting NITs or GFTIs however you might get top private universities or state level private colleges with your JEE main rank.

Hello candidate,
according to your mentioned percentile and rank you have negligible chances of getting any NITs or GFTIs with this rank, however if you belong from states like Meghalaya, Nagaland, Uttarakhand where new NITs are present ,you might get non core branches at these NITs with a domicile quota

Jee mains cut off marks for writing jee advance examinations

There will be not specified cutoff marks for clearing jee mains and to be eligible for jee advanced,
Instead they will fix no of people in each category to qualify and the marks cut the threshold rank, is declared as  cutoff marks.

Any one can attempt thrice for jee main and only twice for jee advanced. If you did not qualify jee main in first two attempt and qualify jee main in third attempt the you won't be allowed to appear for jee advanced whatever good you have scored in
