Is it mandatory to write both JEE paper 1 and paper 2 to be eligible to write JEE Advanced?

Hii Nitish,

 you can appear in JEE main Paper 1 or paper 2 or both.

paper 1 is for B-Tech course like-

  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical engineering
  • Electronics and communication engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Textile engineering.

and paper 2 is for-

  • B-arch.

Engineering in Architechture.

Hiiii Vanshika!!!! First of all congratulations for your 12th marks. Yes you are eligible for nit because it only asks for an aggregate of 75% if general and 65% if other categories. So you are eligible to get admission in nit if you get the qualifying marks required for neet

if you have done diploma then why are you going for JEE. also for jee advanced you need to clear jee mains first.

Reservation for EWS category is being provided for the first time by NTA in JEE Main exam therefore it would be difficult to tell you about your chances of admission as previous year cutoffs for EWS category is not available.

The admission authority will release the cutoff for top B.Tech branches of NITs for the admission of candidates in different NITs through JEE Main.

I got 9640 rank in sc category in jee mains, suppose I get less rank in jee advanced, will josaa consider only my jee main score or mixture.

Hi


JoSAA will consider 'best of two' score as far as JEE Main is considered, for the allotment of NITs,IIITs and GFTIs. JEE Advanced scores are separate and will be considered for admission into IITs irrespective of whether you score low or high in that.

If a class 12 student fail in 2019 and re exam in 2020 and score more than 75% then he can give jee advanced in 2020 or not

Hello Anmol,

Yes , of course if you score more than 75% in the 12th board examination in 2020 then you are definitely eligible for JEE in 2020. The only criteria of JEE mains and advanced is that you should score more than 75% in the 12th board examination.
