Firstly congratulations on your GATE score. candidates must remember that each institute whether an IIT or an NIT will determine their own GATE cutoff for Mechanical. Varied factors are taken into account by different institutes while they determine the GATE Mechanical cutoff. Each institute has different  GATE cutoff

 if you are general catagory candidate there is no chance to get admission in iits which ever is the stream you are applying in. but there is some nits where you may apply.. nit skkim, nit durgapur, nit manipur, iiest shivpur howrah... hope it helps.
