It will be different from what you have learnt till now,so you should only opt this if you have interest and your basics are clear.

It totally depends on the choices you have filled.
If you had filled the choices based on previous year cutoff and has kept some NITs with lower cutoff than your score then you have chances.
Don't worry about no seat allotment in first round.
