GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is conducted by IIT, for admission in IITs for M.Tech Programmes(once you've done your B.Tech). Many PSUs(Public Sector Undertaking) i.e. government based corporations also consider GATE ranks for job offers.

In order to get admission for Mtech you can apply for TANCET examination but since you have qualified the Gate examination you dont need to write Tancet. And while filling the form you need to fill about your Gate marks. But unfortunately the application process through Tancet is finished
