Hello there,

There is no such criteria that if a student gets negetive score in gate in any attempt then he can't apply for gate examination next year.
So yes, you can definitely apply for the GATE examination next year and your score will be considered.

The eligibility criteria for the Joint Entrance Examination says that the students should have passed 12th standard with Physics, Maths and Chemistry as their main subjects.
