I am getting 55 marks in cse GATE 2020 in general category. Can i get any govt job ?

Hello,

PSUs accept GATE score for recruitment.The cut off for General category will be 70+.So with 55 marks it is difficult to getin PSUs.The cut off will be different for each PSU.And there are very less PSUs which takes Computer Engineering graduates.NLC, a PSU had a cut off of 78.67

Hello student that's depend on you you're graduate in which branch so you must have a strong base in that branch you should prefer that subject for GATE Entrance examination.

see cutoff score changes year to year,and depends on various factors like the stream you would apply, current market demand of that particular stream, questions difficulty level, etc.

at this score you have decent chances for nits, vit vellore, bits , jadavpur university, state government colleges, osmania university etc.

I have gate score of 596 in ME and want to do M.tech in aerospace is there any chance of getting admission in any of these IIT(Bombay, Madras, Kharagpur, and Kanpur) ? or should I try to apply on RA course in IIT?

Hello Sir

Your Statements seems to be  contradictory. I may be wrong but as far as i know you can't do Mtech in Aerospace by Appearing and scoring for GATE in ME.

If you wanted to do Mtech in Aerospace then you should have opted Aerospace Engineering (AE) Paper instead

For getting admission in BITS Pilani in M.Tech Civil Engineering you require a score around 350 marks.

Last year cutoffs:-

  • 2018 - 274 marks
  • 2017 - 294 marks
  • 2016 - 314 marks
  • 2015 - 312 marks
  • 2014 - 322 marks
