see placement scenario is not good for lower rank nits and if you belongs to core stream like vlsi, communication, power system engineering, placement is not satisfactory. see if you get nits which comes under top 5 you may go for mtech, nut if you want job and job
see cutoff score changes every year, depends on soem factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category, you did not mention your category from which you belongs to. if you are from general category there is less chances for iits, but you may go in
