    To begin with let me tell you chemical engineering is one of the most demanding branches of engineering as it has plenty of careers options. Not too many college offer this course and the one which does is definitely a good one.

    Now regarding your questions yes chemical engineering is good at coimbatore college of engineering. But about the placements it's not very good it's just better than average.

    As per your choice for CSE the last year's cutoff is 13000 closeing rank

    hello i secured a rank of 899 in aeee conducted by amrita .can i get cse in amrita Coimbatore with this rank in open quota .atleast cse specialisation is possible?

    Congratulations for your excellent rank in AEEE 2021. Now to get into Amrita Coimbatore with CSE branch, you need a rank below 1000 under open category. As your rank is 899, you have good chances to get into Computer Science Engineering in Amrita Coimbatore campus. If in case you miss your chance of getting CSE in core with few ranks, you can still get into CSE specialization as preferred by you.
    As the cutoffs for other Amrita campuses are more, you have decent chances to get into core CSE in other Amrita campuses such as Amritpuri or Bangalore.

    If you are an open category candidate, then you have no chances to get in Mechanical branch in Amrita Coimbatore with your rank. If you have state quota then it will be an added advantage for you. For a candidate with state quota, the cutoff rank for Mechanical Engineering in Amrita Coimbatore was below 15000.
    Hence with your rank you can get into Mechanical Engineering in Amrita Coimbatore if have state quota. If you don't have state quota then it have no chances to get it as the cutoff rank for open category is below 2000.

    With your rank, you are eligible for any branch at main campus. Coming to CSE yes, yes you have high chance of getting CSE in initial phase.

    But please be mindful that as CSE is a popular branch, things like seat availability plays a major role. The seat matrix for every branch at Amrita is 60 seats. But it may vary, the decision solely lies with the university.

    Hello aspirant,

    It is unlikely to predict, as amrita does not release a standard cut for the exam. As the number of candidates applying for the exam is variable every year we cannot predict an exact scenario or rank for that matter.

    You could bag a seat in chemical engineering at the Coimbatore campus with the state quota. With a state quota, you have a good chance while with an open quota you have a fair chance.

    The cut-off for 2018, 2017 for chemical engineering was 7k for open quota and 19k for state quota. Your rank should probably be between 10k to 15k. However, these results might not be accurate and will change as numerous factors are taken into account for calculating the rank of a candidate.
