As far as i know,Amrita offers scholarship only on the basis of entrance exam scores and rank in the merit list.

You would not be able to get a scholarship if you don't have one presently

However you can apply for a need cum merit scholarship at the end of the semester/year.

You have a decent rank in Amrita entrance examination. Amrita considered reservation based on only home state and no other category based reservation is considered for admission process. Since for outside state candidate the closing rank was around 8000 as per previous year data. And for home state category candidate for Coimbatore and Bangalore for all braches is as follows:-

Amrita School of Engineering Bangalore

 You have chances in few branches based on your rank only if your home state is Tamil Nadu or Karnataka.

As you say you have got 13160th rank in AEEE 2019, and you want to opt for mechanical engineering in Amrita School of Engineering. Well you might unfortunately not be able to get a mechanical engineering or any other seat in the three campuses of this college as your rank is too high. However you might expect some seatvif you apply the state quota otherwise it's hard to make through this year.

AEEE or amrita entrance doesn't follow its admission pattern in previous years. Since you belong to an open category and you have a rank below 5000 , you might not have a chance of getting cs branch . There are others in the same open category who got a rank of 2100 and yet didnt get CS at Coimbatore or Bangalore campuses . You might get an admission at the Amritapuri campus maybe.

Congratulations on securing good ranks. You are very much eligible for CSE in all 4 Amrita Campuses under open category. Also, I think that you're eligible for a scholarship seat. CSE in Amrita Coimbatore is the best comparitvely, since cutoff marks for CSE in Coimbatore are high than other campuses . Also the placements are top notch. With a rank of 4898 in AEEE you cannot get an admission into computer science engineering in the Amrita University Coimbatore campus.You can get computer science engineering admission into the other campuses namely Bangalore and anritapuri according to the previous year closing ranks.But if you have the state quota then you surely have a chance .For more information about the closing ranks you can visit the careers360 website.
