QnA related to KCET

Ask your question related to KCET

If you've paid for KCET but can't download the application form due to a payment issue , try these steps:

  1. Check Bank Transaction – Verify if the amount was debited from your account.
  2. Wait for Confirmation – Sometimes, payments take a few hours to update in the system.
  3. Re-login & Retry – Log out and log in again to see if the issue resolves.
  4. Contact KEA Helpline – Reach out to the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) with your payment proof for assistance.
  5. Check Email/SMS – Look for confirmation from KEA regarding payment status.

If you've paid the KCET exam fee but it's still asking for payment, follow these steps immediately:

  1. Check Transaction Status – Verify if the amount was debited from your bank.
  2. Wait & Retry – Sometimes, payments take time to update. Log out, wait, and try again.
  3. Contact KEA Helpline – Reach out to the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) with payment proof (receipt, bank statement, or UTR number) for resolution.
  4. Visit KEA Office – If possible, visit their office in person for urgent assistance.
  5. Keep Proof – Save screenshots of the issue for reference.

If you received a successful payment confirmation on your UPI app, even though the KCET application page is showing the payment tab again, your application form is most likely submitted and considered paid; this could be a glitch on the website and you should not attempt to pay again.

  • Check your application status:

Log in to the KCET application portal using your credentials and check if your application status shows "submitted" or "payment successful."

  • Contact support:

If you are still unsure, reach out to the KCET helpline or support team to confirm the status of your application.

  • Double payment is not required:

Even if the payment tab appears again, do not attempt to pay the fee again unless explicitly instructed by the website.

  • Check for technical issues:

Sometimes, website glitches can cause such display issues, but the payment might be processed successfully on the backend.

  • Keep your transaction details handy:

If you need to contact support, have your UPI transaction ID ready for verification.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Hello,

It **might** cause a problem during document verification for KCET and college admissions, as the name on your KCET application should ideally match your official documents (10th & 12th marks cards, Aadhaar, etc.). Minor differences, like an abbreviated surname, may not always be an issue, but it depends on the verification officials. To avoid complications, it's best to get it corrected or carry an affidavit proving both names refer to the same person.

Hope this helps you,

Thank you

According to the eligibility criteria for both AP EAMCET and KCET , your daughter would be considered a "Non-Local" candidate for AP EAMCET and a "Non-Local" candidate for KCET as well.

  • AP EAMCET:

To be considered a "Local" candidate in AP EAMCET, a student must have completed their schooling (including the qualifying exam) primarily within the state of Andhra Pradesh. Since your daughter is currently studying intermediate in Karnataka, she does not meet this criteria.

  • KCET:

Similarly, to be classified as a "Local" candidate for KCET, a student must have a Karnataka domicile, which means they must have completed their education primarily within Karnataka. As your daughter's schooling up to 10th grade was in Andhra Pradesh, she would be considered a non local.

Hope this helps!!

Hello Samiya,

After verification at your college, editing the KCET application, including the signature, may not be allowed . However, KEA sometimes provides a correction window for minor edits.

Check KEA's official website or contact their helpline to confirm if signature cropping is permitted during the correction period.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

If you only zoomed your signature in the KCET application and your college verified the form with the unzoomed version, then it is likely okay and should not cause any issues; however, it's best to contact the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to confirm if there could be any potential problems due to the slight signature difference.

Since your college verified the application with the unzoomed signature, it indicates that they accepted it as valid.

Zooming a signature slightly might not be considered a significant alteration, especially if the overall details remain the same.

ALL The Best!!

Hello,

As of February 23, 2025, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has not officially announced the last date for editing the KCET 2025 application form .

However, based on previous years' schedules, the application correction window is typically opened after the application submission deadline.

Given that the last date to submit the application form is February 24, 2025, it is anticipated that the correction window may be available in the first week of March 2025.

Hope you find it useful !

Hello there,

Yes, you can apply for KCET using the RD number mentioned in your receipt. However, your caste and income certificate must be approved before the document verification process.

If the certificate gets approved later, you may be allowed to update it during the document verification window . Keep checking the official KEA website for any updates on corrections or verification schedules.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Yes, registering for KCET along with NEET is required for securing a medical seat in Karnataka under the state quota. While NEET is the only entrance exam for MBBS admissions, KCET registration is necessary for participating in the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) counseling process. KEA manages the allotment of government and private medical college seats under the state quota, and only candidates registered through KCET can apply for these seats. However, if you only aim for AIQ (All India Quota) seats, KCET registration is not needed. Ensure you complete all KEA formalities to be eligible for Karnataka medical colleges
