KCET Counselling Process 2025 - KEA is concluding the Round 3 KCET 2025 option entry on September 8, 2025. Candidates can complete the option entry process on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. The round 3 KCET provisional seat allotment will be released tentatively in the second week of September 2025. Candidates have to pay the fees to confirm the seat allotment. The authority is expected to conclude the KCET 2025 counselling process by the end of September 2025. Selected candidates have to report to the colleges as per the guidelines in the final KCET 2025 seat allotment letter. The detailed process of KCET counselling is provided below.
Step 1- KCET Document Verification 2025- Candidates must verify their documents and other details online. The following documents must be produced at the time of online verification.
Scorecard of SSLC/10th Standard.
Scorecard of 2nd PUC/12th Standard.
Two recent passport-size photographs.
Study Certificate Countersigned by the concerned BEO/DDPI.
Any other required documents.
KCET 2025 application form printout.
Proof of application fee payment.

Caste / Caste Income Certificate.
Kannada Medium Certificate.

Rural Study Certificate.
Parent’s study certificate / Hometown certificate / Domicile certificate / Employment certificate / Cumulative Record / Marks Card, etc., for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on the parent's domicile/study/employment.
Duly sworn in Affidavit of the candidate who claims eligibility under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses C and D. (Regarding Mother Tongue).
After verification, candidates will be given a unique ID and password. Candidates will also receive an acknowledgement card and KCET 2025 verification slip. Candidates will have to download the KCET verification slip 2025 online through login. They must check the details mentioned therein. In case of discrepancy, applicants are advised to contact the authority immediately.
Step 2 - Choice Filling and Locking: Applicants will have to choose the desired course and college through this process. They have to log in using their KCET number. Candidates can add, rearrange, or modify their selection. The course-wise, category-wise, and college-wise seat matrix will be released online. No changes will be accepted after the final submission of choices (locked).
Step 3 - KCET Seat Allotment 2025: Initially, KEA announces the KCET mock seat allotment. Candidates can check this to verify their chances of admission based on the chosen merit and preferred seats. After this, applicants will be able to change their choices. To check the KCET seat allotment status, one must log in using their CET number. The provisional allotment letter must be downloaded and printed out by the candidates.
Step 4 - Reporting at Allotted Institutes: Candidates who have accepted the seat must report to the allotted institute. They will have to carry the necessary documents and a provisional allotment letter to confirm their admission. Candidates must pay the admission fee as well.

It's unlikely you'll get a veterinary college in Bangalore with a KCET rank of 5000, even with the ST caste and CRPF quota, as the general cutoff is often around 1200, and even special category quotas typically don't extend that far.

Yes, you can attempt the KCET exam next year as well if you feel to score better to get better college as long as you meet the eligibility criteria of KCET.
Make sure you are comfortable to bear the consequences of dropping after one year like loss of one year studies and problems while getting fees refund (depends on your college).
