see as per 2022 gate official site, gate exam has no paper named as ceramic engineering, very few colleges of india offers b.tech in ceramic engineering. since gate exam score is evaluated for higher study as well as psu undertakings , the most common subjects are available for appearing
For Ceramic Engineering the best Institute in Todays date in IIT BHU, followed by NIT Rourkela and Government College of Ceramic Technology, West Bengal. For the former two you need to prepare for JEE Mains and Advanced Exam while for the latter option you need a WBJEE Score. All these
Yeah, I suppose you can obviously do that ,provided you perform excellently in JEE Main.Only thing which you cant do is reappear for JEE Advanced and move to another IIT.

Hope you are doing well. As per your query IIT BHU is a very renowned college amongst all the IITs. Branches like CSE, IT and ECE has high placements there with great packages. But ceramic engineering or pharmaceutical engineering does not have that much scope in this college
