TIET B.Tech Admissions 2025 - Thapar University will conclude the TIET B.Tech counselling registrations on July 10, 2025. The link for the TIET Btech counselling registrations is available at admission.thapar.edu. The authority will conduct the TIET B.Tech special counselling round on July 11, 2025. The special counselling round for TIET B.tech will be conducted through a zoom meeting whose link can be found on the official website. Candidates who have registered till July 10 will only be eligible for the counselling. Admissions to the TIET B.Tech programmes is based on their JEE Main score or the 10+2 merit. However, preference will be given to candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2025 exam.

Candidates interested in taking admission into any one of the following: Civil Engineering (CIE), Civil Engineering with Computer Applications (CCA), Chemical Engineering (CHE) & Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology) (EVD) can attend the counselling. The authority commenced the TIET 2025 exam counselling for the subsequent rounds on June 10, 2025. The application fee is Rs 2000. The TIET 2025 round 2 counselling was held on June 9, 2025. Only those candidates who applied by June 5, 2025, were considered for round 2 of counselling. Candidates allotted seats in the round 2 counselling for Thapar University must pay their fees by June 14, 2025.

Steps to fill TIET B.Tech application form 2025
Registration - Firstly, candidates have to get themselves registered by submitting some basic details such as name, email address, mobile number, preferred course, and more. After the details are submitted, candidates will have to click on “Create a new account”.
Username generation - Upon successful registration, the username and password will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number. Candidates will have to change their password.
Filling the application form - In the next step, candidates will have to fill out the application form. Details such as personal information, contact details, and academic qualifications will be asked in the form.
Uploading of documents - Candidates will also have to upload a clear photograph, signature, and JEE Main admit card in the format specified by the concerned authorities.
Payment of application fee - Finally, payment of the TIET B.Tech admission 2025 application fee has to be made in online or offline mode. To pay online mode, the candidates can use net banking/credit card/debit card. For offline mode, a demand draft has to be drawn in favor of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology and payable at Patiala. The demand draft along with the application form has to be sent through registered post or deposited in person at the given below address:

TIET B.Tech Merit List 2025
The authorities will prepare the merit list based on the marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination. Note that JEE Main qualified candidates will be given higher preference. Students are called for counselling and allotment of seats on the basis of their merit. Candidates will be able to check the TIET 2025 B.Tech merit list by logging into the portal using valid credentials.
The admission to all the seats of BE/BTech programmes shall be made on the basis of merit of aggregate of three subjects namely, Physics, Mathematics, and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Technical Vocational subject*.
The tie in B.Tech mode 2 admissions 10+2 PCM marks shall be broken in the following order:
- Resolution by rank obtained in JEE Main – 2025 / NEET – 2025 (for BTech – Biotechnology/B.Tech - Biomedical Engineering). Candidates obtaining better ranks will be placed higher in merit.
- Resolution by marks obtained in Physics in 10+2. Candidates obtaining higher marks will be given better ranks.
- Resolution by date of birth. Candidates, higher in age shall get preference on candidates with lower age.
- If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.
